Client: The Wyld at Elk Ridge Resort
Project: Logo, Signage, and Vinyl
Date: Winter 2021
Elk Ridge Resort is a well-known getaway in northern Saskatchewan, and features well-kept, rustic accommodations and a professional golf course. The Wyld is a restaurant at Elk Ridge Resort.
Ironjet designed the logo for The Wyld, provided a dimensional, acrylic sign, and installed it onto the exterior stone wall. Yes, those are custom antlers.
For the main sign, we created a one-of-a-kind monument sign from routered, stained wood. The sign is visible from the highway, and welcomes visitors as they drive into the resort.
Ironjet also provided a brushed aluminum interior sign for the administrative office, with wall vinyl behind, and various other vinyl pieces.
Early logo concepts for The Wyld
The Wyld logo went through a number of revisions, but the general feel and logotype remained the same throughout.
Many symbols were requested, including trees (three, specifically), arrows, and antlers. It’s difficult to find the best design for a project, if specifications are too rigid (or too loose), but we finally landed on the script & antler crest you see on the building exterior.
Even a simple logo can have a winding journey, and extracting a vision can take time (especially where many minds and dreams are involved).
