Project: Character Illustration & Logo Design

This logo and character illustration was a Christmas gift from a mother to her son, who runs a woodworking hobby business.

Ironjet was given a sketch, which was being used as the profile picture on Instagram, and our artist created a new sketch, inspired by the original.

Working from an existing character can be a challenge when you want to honour the original concept. Our artist briefly researched pelicans and thought a brown pelican might be more fitting than the classic white. The client confirmed his choice.

The sketch was approved immediately and inks and colours were added. The illustration was also vectorized so it can be scaled up to any size without loss of quality.

Lastly, the name was added in font styles that compliment the illustration and the business itself.
